Customer self management

Online Signup

Online signup for services is facilitated through the EO Backup Customer Portal. Credit card payments are automatically processed for services configured in the EO Backup Customer Portal. Manual processing of payment options is also available.

 

Customer Portal

The Customer Portal provides a comprehensive interface for managing backup services. It enables configuration and oversight of backup services, including customer agreements and billing views. Access to the Customer Portal is secured through an in-house Single Sign-On (SSO) and multi-factor authentication (MFA) system.

 

Simplified Service Configuration

The complexity of Veeam’s configuration is abstracted through the intuitive and user-friendly simplified EO Backup Customer Portal interface. The EO Backup Customer Portal presents only relevant configuration options for backup services, simplifying the backup configuration process.

 

Enhanced Security

Access to the Customer Portal is restricted through mandatory MFA. The in-house MFA system ensures robust security and does not rely on third-party systems. SSO is integrated as part of this authentication and authorisation framework.

 

Service Management

Customer self-service is facilitated through the EO Backup Customer Portal’s built-in Role-Based Access Control (RBAC) system. Customers have the ability to grant access to third parties for service management purposes, ensuring seamless collaboration and oversight. 

Automated ‘hands off’ service delivery

Automation

Automation for deployment, configuration, and service management through workflow definitions. Cloud Automation endpoints are supported (e.g., Virtual Machines, Azure, AWS, Kubernetes). The Automation system is agnostic to service endpoint vendors and requires only that connectors be developed for new service endpoints. 

Automated billing

Defined metrics are collected from customer service and processed in accordance with the service definition. Invoices are automatically generated by the EO Backup system using this data. Payment is typically taken automatically but may be taken manually if required. 

Customisable products

Customisable service definitions

Charging schemes are established for products. Distinctive metrics (for instance, the number of backups or disk space utilised) can be defined and utilised for each product. This capability facilitates the implementation of customised pricing strategies tailored to specific customer segments. 

Manual sales process

The Enterprise Operations Backup (EO Backup) provides automated signup and service delivery capabilities, as well as manual sales processing. For manually processed sales, the EO Backup system will still automatically deploy and manage services, while contract and payment handling can be manually handled. 

Service delivery in the cloud or on-premises

Open ended automation workflow

EO Backup is designed to utilise hosting services from cloud service providers or data centers. Currently, the system supports AWS for Salesforce Backups, Datacentre, or Azure for Microsoft 365 Backups.
