Veeam Licensing
Our service uses Veeam Backup for Salesforce software as its back-up engine.
In addition to our EO Backup service fees, the customer must purchase a Veeam Backup for Sales (VBSF) license.
- Community license (up to 50 users): free.
- 1-300 Users: £2.61 per user
- 301 - 1,000 Users: £2.44 per user per month
- 1,001 - 2,500 Users £2.26 per user per month
- 2500+ users, contact us.
All Veeam licenses are currently payable annually in advance.
Discounts are available for longer term commitments (1 to 5 years).
Customers are welcome to use an existing Veeam license that they have purchased elsewhere.

Veeam Backup for Salesforce Licenses (VAR)
EO Backup is a Veeam VAR Partner and can sell Veeam Backup for Salesforce licenses to customers in the United Kingdom in British Pounds (GBP) +VAT.
These licenses are currently available on an annual license basis only, so in terms of 1,2,3,4 or 5 years minimum length. Veeam do not sell perpetual licenses. The licenses must be pre-paid at least 1 year in advance. Credit terms may be available to larger customers, please enquire.
Due to restrictions in Veeam’s partner agreement EO cannot currently provide these Veeam VAR licenses to customers outside the United Kingdom. Such customers should obtain Veeam Backup for Salesforce licenses directly from Veeam or from a Veeam Partner in your country. Contact us if you need assistance or referral for this. For customers with 500 or more Salesforce users we can provide a VCSP license to customers globally (see below).
Veeam Backup for Salesforce Licenses (VCSP) program
For customers with 500 or more users EO can provide a Veeam Backup for Salesforce under the Veeam Service Provider (VCSP) Program.
These licenses are available to customers worldwide and are available on an annual basis. The licenses must be pre-paid 1 year in advance. Credit terms may be available to larger customers, please enquire.
What is the the Free Veeam Backup for Salesforce Community Edition license and what does it provide?
The Veeam Backup for Salesforce Community Edition provides a free Veeam license for backup and recovery of Salesforce data and metadata for environments of 50 Salesforce users or less.
This includes best-effort support from Veeam (which means there is no service level agreement (SLA) guarantee and is typically limited to email-only support requests with Veeam).
This license can be used with the EO Salesforce Backup service. The customer applies for the license and then enters the license key in the Veeam Backup for Salesforce software.
Veeam Backup for Salesforce (VBSF) License User Definition
Veeam Backup for Salesforce is licensed per User. A User is defined as a Standard User with the Salesforce license type reported by the Salesforce platform. Only Salesforce user licenses consumed by production organisations whose data is protected are counted.
A Veeam license is not required for:

Salesforce user licenses consumed by sandbox and Developer Edition organisations.

Salesforce Chatter Free, Chatter Only, Chatter External user licenses.

Salesforce Partner Community, Customer Community, Customer Community Plus user licenses.

Salesforce Identity licenses.
